We are a stained glass studio in Western Pennsylvania that specializes in restoration of damaged and old windows and the construction of new ones.  We used to do craft shows and sell our items all over the eastern US, but the Chinese put us out of business, including taking over one of my designs for a fairy like the one shown here in the background. 

We go to North Carolina to go "gem mining" at Gem Mountain and Chimney Rock Gem Mine.  We probably could buy the stones cheaper over the internet but it is lots more fun "mining" for them, you never know what you are going to find, we have a star sapphire, four emeralds and a large garnet that we had cut.  The garnet is on my hand, made into a solitaire ring.
